Lately, Houston Texans fans haven’t had the opportunity to get you to a notion like their years of patience concerned to pay off. A year ago, the Texans obtained the time of year with a win over their division rival Indianapolis Colts and fans immediately began to wonder if 2010 could be the year the Texans finally went to the postseason. The Texans trailed 16-10 with the half, but receiver Andre Johnson was developing a field day, accumulating over 100 yards within the first half alone. The lead changed 5 times in half of a second in a thrilling offensive game that saw Matt Schaub pass for 373 yards and three touchdowns, and rival quarterback Drew Brees pass for 370 and 3. Houston scored on the Matt Schaub touchdown pass with 4:13 left, but Drew Brees drove the Saints 93 yards on the field to accept lead 40-33, which is where the final score would stand.
Regardless of the loss, the Texans can still move away from the game given they are able to tackle just about anyone in the league, at least offensively. Sometimes up against the Saints their defense seemed leaky, though the Saints influential offense can have that impact on teams. The Texans possess a strong road in advance, but, with two from their next three games against playoff teams from last year. In the future they host the defending AFC champ Pittsburgh Steelers, then after what should be a hardcore game against Oakland, they go to Baltimore to experience the surging Ravens. Later in the season there are also rough out-of-conference games against Atlanta and Tampa Bay. Regardless, Houston has the flair again this coming year making it to the playoffs.
